Thrilled to be asked to take my Copperplate Sessions team to perform with me at Celtic Connections 2020 as part of the Big Fling at the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall on Jan 21st, 2020.
Lots of lovely guests on the bill including the Tom Orr Mega Ceilidh Band, Marie Fielding, Robert Black, Gary Innes and many more.

“Take your seats, please, for the latest in Celtic Connections’ celebrated series of traditional terpsichorean extravaganzas, hosted by a lavish line-up of top talents in the field. Renowned for his tradition-steeped yet youthful approach, accordionist Tom Orr helms the aptly-named Mega Ceilidh Dance Band, a specially-expanded version of his regular six-piece line-up. Orr appears again in Manus McGuire’s Copperplate Sessions, named for the Sligo-born, Clare-based fiddler’s highly-praised 2018 album (described the Irish Echo as “simply outstanding”), which features music from Orkney, Shetland and Canada alongside Irish tunes. Also among its mainly Scottish guest-list, and on the bill tonight, is renowned dance-band fiddler Marie Fielding. Yet more A-list attractions include the Robert Black Scottish Dance Band and Gary Innes Highland Dance Band, together with rising-star fiddle/accordion duo Ellie McLaren and Callum Cruickshank.”
