“Think of Irish traditional music as a language, and Cascadia Irish Music Week as an immersion program. Students hear the music all week long, played by the teaching staff and by fellow students. They play in sessions, attend classes, hear afternoon talks by the teachers plus intimate evening concerts. By the end of the week, students come away with some new tunes and a deeper sense of how the music feels and sounds, as well as advice on technique from excellent musicians. All that plus a week of great fun with wonderful people!”
